Middle School Academics
Calvert Catholic Schools offers a faith-based middle school program for grades 7-8. Following a rigorous curriculum, middle school students study language arts, math, science, social studies, and religion. Students also participate in special classes including art, physical education, music, Spanish, technology, and essential academic skills. Students study the core subjects under the guidance of two core subject teachers (language arts/social studies and math/science). Additionally, students study religion with a religion specialist. CCS strives to meet the individual needs of students as teachers differentiate instruction to ensure that every student succeeds. Middle school students have a variety of extra-curricular activities they may participate in to develop skills in the areas of athletics, performing arts, problem-solving, and leadership. Furthermore, the pillars of the CCS mission statement are an integral part of the program and are interwoven throughout instruction, activities, and events.
